The Boston University Terriers are the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Champions!

With more NCAA Division I national titles than any Eastern school and 29 Beanpot championships, Boston University has long established itself as one of the top collegiate hockey programs in the country. In 2008-09, it was, unquestionably, the best -- finishing 35-6-4 and winning all six tournaments it entered en route to capturing its fifth national championship.

Legendary coach Jack Parker enters his 37th season as head coach. He received the 2009 Spencer Penrose Award as the Division I Men's Coach of the Year.  He also earned his 800th career win -- the most by a Division I coach at one institution.

Parker has had many great players, among them being his second Hobey Baker Award winner, Matt Gilroy, who signed with the New York Rangers after the 2008-09 season -- joining an impressive list of 60 Terriers who have gone on to compete in the NHL.
