Ice Broomball
Ice Broomball is the most popular intramural sport,
with 110 teams competing per season. Register early as this
sport always fills and always has a waiting list!
- Broomball is played in Walter Brown Arena.
- Broomball is a Co-Rec sport.
- Teams must have a minimum of 6 players to register, 3
men and 3 women, with 10 or more recommended.
- Teams wear sneakers and an ice hockey helmet while they
run on the ice and try to score goals by hitting a ball
into an oversized goal with sticks that resemble old wicker
brooms that have worn down to the nub.
- Helmets, sticks, and jerseys are provided by the Intramural
Department.
- Teams play a 4-game regular season schedule with the top
teams advancing to the playoffs.
* If planning to pay by funds transfer, you must have your transfer number available at time of registration (Transfer need not already be completed).
