IntroductionThe
Office of Human Resources is pleased to provide you with an online copy of your
personalized 2008
Benefits Statement. This statement summarizes your benefits and illustrates
the total value of your pay and benefits package. Your
2008 Benefits Statement was prepared using information from Boston University
records as of January 1, 2008. It generally reflects benefits that were in effect
on that date, except for retirement benefits, which were estimated as of December
31, 2007. This
statement may be used as a general guide to the level of your benefits. By its
nature, this statement is not a legal document. Details on your benefits are covered
in plan booklets and controlling legal documents. If you have any questions about
how your statement was prepared or how to interpret it, please contact the Benefits
Section of the Office of Human Resources on the Charles River Campus.
This statement does not create a contract between Boston University and its
faculty or staff for either employment or any benefit. Boston University continually
studies its total benefits program, and it may improve, modify, or terminate any
of the benefit plans reported. You
will need an ACS login account and Kerberos password to access your statement.
For more information about setting up your account, refer to the Getting
Started section of the Employee Link. Please
also note the following: - The
Employee Link cannot be used with MacIntosh computers using Internet Explorer.
- A
pie chart on the statements requires the use of a java-enabled browser in order
to be viewed properly. This may require that you download and install Microsoft
Virtual Machine. Please speak with your department network administrator if you
are prompted to download this software when you attempt to view your statement.
(This software should be installed with "Administrator" security privileges.)
Paper copies of the
2008 Benefits Statements are currently in the process of being mailed to all eligible
employees. If you have any questions regarding your benefits statement, please
call or email the Benefits Section of the Office
of Human Resources at 617/353-4709.
- We
would like to thank University Information Systems for their work in making these
statements available online.
