General Information

This international conference has been organized to celebrate Elie Wiesel's 80th birthday. Over three days we will review all the major areas of Wiesel's life work. Critical consideration will be given to his writings on subjects ranging from the Bible and Hasidism to the Holocaust and the State of Israel, as well as to his human rights efforts on behalf of oppressed peoples throughout the world.

Tickets

All sessions of the conference, including Professor Wiesel's Monday evening Plenary lecture, are free and open to the public. Tickets are required for the plenary lecture by Professor Wiesel and for each of the conference sessions.

Thank you for your interest in the Wiesel Conference. At this time, registration is now closed. A limited amount of walk-in space is available for the various Sessions. Unfortunately, the Musical Evening on Sunday, October 26th is completely full. Overflow space for the Plenary Lecture (shown via video simulcast) on Monday, October 27th is limited but to inquire about availability please call 617-353-2248.

Location

The Sunday sessions will all be in the Boston University Law School Auditorium, 765 Commonwealth Ave, 1st Floor.

The Sunday Evening Musical Event will be in the Tsai Center, 685 Commonwealth Ave.

The Monday sessions and the Wiesel lecture will all be in the Boston University,George Sherman Union, Metcalf Hall, 2nd Floor, 775 Commonwealth Ave.

The Tuesday sessions from 9am-3 will be in the Law School Auditorium. And, the Round Table will be in the George Sherman Union.
