Prospective First-Year Students

Students are encouraged to apply online with the LSACD offered by the Law School Admissions Services (LSAC). You can also download our forms or request a printed bulletin and application, and submit your completed application by mail. We give the same consideration to electronic applications as we do paper applications.

Admission to the J.D. Program at BU Law is for the fall semester only and is conducted on a rolling basis throughout the year. To ensure full consideration, students must submit an application for admission by March 1. All required supporting materials, such as letters of recommendation and test scores, must be received by April 1.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the Office of Admissions receives all necessary documents. The Office of Admissions will notify each applicant with a status postcard regarding the following items that must be sent directly to the admissions office: LSDAS Report, LSAT, and Letters of Recommendation.
