The IT Help Center

The IT Help Center, formerly known as the Personal Computing Support Center, provides computing support to the students, faculty, and staff of Boston University via this website, our telephone and walk-in support center, our free tutorials program, and individual consulting.
As the IT Help Center, our services have recently expanded to include manufacturer authorized warranty and non-warranty hardware repair services. We now also offer sales (and Software Assurance fulfillment) of Microsoft and Adobe software to departments and BU individuals, as well as personal sales of selected computers, all with significant educational discounts.
Within this site you will find information about connecting your computer to Ethernet and wireless networks, protecting it from viruses and spyware, using e-mail, using supported software, using the UNIX resources on ACS, and many other topics. We fully support both Windows and the Mac OS, and our goal is to help everyone in the BU community make the most effective use of Information Technology resources.
