Six-year Accelerated Combined Bachelor of Science in Health Studies/Doctor of Physical Therapy
The program educates graduates to become generalists dedicated to the promotion of health and the rehabilitation of people disabled by injury or disease.
The 6-year freshman-entry physical therapy program consists of three years of pre-professional study followed by the three-year professional physical therapy curriculum.
The program provides students with:
- a strong foundation in the basic sciences,
- a synthesis of a body of applied scientific knowledge
- the ability to communicate effectively, solve problems creatively, and to administer and evaluate treatment effectively and efficiently.
- a commitment to professional values and ethical practice
An important component of the educational process is participation in supervised clinical experiences at selected facilities that give the student exposure to a range of physical therapy practices and settings.
