Master Promissory Note

Any student who is taking out Federal Direct Loans through Boston University for the first time, must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). A student can fulfill this requirement any time before the loan money is disbursed to their account, the sooner the better. The preferred method of completing your MPN is on-line at the Boston University Office of Financial Assistance.

You will need your Federal Personal Identification Number (P.I.N.), which you received once you completed your FAFSA. To request a duplicate go to the U.S. Department of Education PIN Web Site. You may have your P.I.N. sent to you by e-mail or through the postal service.
