A Day in the Life of a Summer Challenge Student
As a Summer Challenge student, your day-to-day schedule will include structured time in and out of class. Each weekday, you’ll attend your morning and afternoon seminars. Following the afternoon seminar, organized activities are designed to familiarize you with college life while engaging with your peers. You’ll also find scheduled free time to take care of homework or explore the city.
Social events and activities during the afternoon, evenings, and on weekends are mandatory. Take a look at our Schedule of Events to see examples of the fun things you’ll be doing.
You’ll find plenty of free time to enjoy the campus and Boston on your own. You can purchase a short-term membership to Boston University’s Fitness & Recreation Center or explore BU’s many libraries or computing centers. And of course, there are countless things to do in Boston. You need to inform a program assistant when you plan to go off campus and be accompanied by at least one other student. Please note that overnight absences are not allowed.
