Telephone repair
If you are having problem with your telephone service, call the Telecom Helpdesk at 3-2097. We will need the following information when you call: the extension that is having a problem, the nature of the problem as specifically as possible, the department, the address including rm. #, a contact person and their extension. We address repair problems as quickly as possible, but if the line you are calling in is of special concern (for example, a main department line) let us know and we will make it a priority.
Fax line repair
If you are having a problem with your fax machine, please determine whether it is a problem with the equipment or with the phone line by plugging a single line (analog) telephone into the outlet. If the line has no dial tone, call the Telecom Helpdesk at 3-2097. If the problem is with the fax machine, contact the equipment's manufacturer.
Verizon
Sometimes our technician determines that a problem must be called into Verizon. When this occurs, Verizon turnaround time for most problems is within 24 hours from when the problem is reported to them.
