Configure

Sound Forge XP is a sound editing application that you can use to capture and edit audio files. SoundForge will give you a graphic view of the waveform once it is captured, which will alert you to problems such as clipping.

  1. Open SoundForge. You will see the menu bar and work space.

  2. Select File | New from the menu

  3. Set sample rate to 44,100khz, sample size to 16-bit; channels to Stereo.

  4. Click OK.

  5. You will now see a new (empty) Sound file.
