Hands-on Exercise: Improving Content

In this exercise, you'll improve a page's content, making it better for users and search engines.

  1. Configure Dreamweaver to connect to the practice site (see your handout).
  2. Download the practice files.
  3. Identify search terms for the page. Make sure search terms are in the text.
  4. Add structure to the page by adding <heading> tags.
  5. Improve the content by removing unnecessary text.
  6. Add useful links to the page.

To see what's changed, view the jellyfish page as it originally looked.
